Ice Skating on Toronto's Waterfront

Toronto's waterfront is the go-to destination for ice skating this winter season! Glide across outdoor rinks with stunning views of Lake Ontario.

Toronto's waterfront has three ice rinks to enjoy:

  • Sherbourne Common's Skating Rink

  • Harbourfront Centre's Ice Rink

  • Skate trail at The Bentway

With delicious restaurants and cozy cafes nearby, skating on Toronto's waterfront is an experience you don't want to miss.

Skating at Harbourfront Centre

Harbourfront Centre's ice rink is open from 10 AM - 10 PM every day until March 16.

No skates? No Problem! Skate rentals are available on-site (for all ages). Skates, skating aides, sharpening, helmets, hats, and gloves are also available for rental.

DJ Skate Nights and Free Skate Rentals

The best party in Toronto will be on Saturday's at Harbourfront Centre's skating rink.

Every Saturday (except on December 28) will feature DJ skate nights, where Toronto's top DJs will spin iconic beats while you skate the night away.

Every Saturday, until March 16, will also have FREE skate rentals.

Skating at Sherbourne Common

Sherbourne Common outdoor ice rink provides a lovely waterfront view while enjoying a leisurely skate.

The ice rink is located at 5 Lower Sherbourne Street and is open from 10 AM - 10 PM every day (as long as temperatures are below freezing).

Free Skate Rentals

The Skate Lending Library will serve Sherbourne Commons ice rink on December 29 and February 14th, offering free skate rentals and skating aids.

The Bentway Skate Trail

The Bentway offers a truly unique experience where visitors can skate under the Gardiner Expressway.

The trail is a 220m long figure-eight.

On Monday evenings, The Bentway offers free hot chocolate (thanks to the support of the CityPlace Fort York BIA).

And on Thursday evenings The Bentway offers free skate rentals (thanks to the support of Billy Bishop Airport).
