Emmanuel Osahor's "To Dream of Other Places," showcases a diverse range of his artistic practice, including paintings, drawings, prints, ceramic sculptures, photographic wallpaper installation. His work explores themes of memory, green sanctuaries and the interplay of the two.
Shelagh Keeley, a Toronto-based artist, presents her 180-minute film, "Jardim do Ultramar / The Colonial Garden." This work explores the socio-political histories embedded within natural and built environments, drawing from her extensive documentation of gardens and unique spaces during her many travels since 1985. The film reveals the layered historical narratives held within these spaces.
Both exhibitions will be open from April 11 to September 14, 2025, at The Power Plant, located at 231 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON.
